Jeff Bezos bids farewell to Seattle and welcomes Miami

Jeff Bezos is bidding farewell to Seattle, as he recently revealed in an Instagram video that he will be making Miami his new home. This decision holds a sentimental value for Bezos, as Miami was the place he called home during his younger years. 

For over 27 years, Bezos has resided in Seattle, where he laid the foundation of his empire by establishing Amazon's very first "office" in his garage. In the video, he takes viewers on a tour of this humble beginning, showcasing the transformation from a small-scale operation to the global powerhouse it is today.

The driving force behind Bezos's relocation is his desire to be closer to his parents, who have recently returned to Miami. Bezos acknowledges the unwavering support his parents have provided throughout his journey, making it all the more important for him to be near them. In addition, Bezos and his partner, Lauren, have developed a love for Miami, further cementing their decision to call it their new home.

Bezos's announcement also includes news about Blue Origin, his aerospace company. He shares that the operations of Blue Origin, which were previously based in Kent, will gradually shift to Cape Canaveral.

While Bezos is excited about this new chapter, the decision to leave Seattle is not an easy one. Having spent more time in Seattle than anywhere else, he has created countless cherished memories in the Pacific Northwest. Bezos acknowledges the emotional aspect of this move, stating, "Seattle, you will always have a piece of my heart."
