Food Events around Washington

Washington State is known for its diverse and delicious culinary scene, and there are several food events that celebrate the local flavors and ingredients. Some of the major food events in Washington State you must experience. 

1. Seattle Restaurant Week: This biannual event features over 165 restaurants in Seattle offering three-course meals for a fixed price. It usually takes place in April and October.

2. Taste Washington: This annual event is a celebration of Washington state's food and wine. Attendees can taste over 235 wineries and 65 restaurants in Seattle.

3. Washington State Fair: This annual fair in Puyallup has a large food component, featuring over 100 food vendors. Popular items include the famous scones, corn on the cob, and deep-fried everything.

4. Bite of Seattle: This annual food festival in Seattle features over 60 restaurants and food vendors, as well as live music and cooking demonstrations.

5. Skagit Valley Tulip Festival: This month-long event in April features fields of colorful tulips as well as local food vendors selling everything from fresh berries to artisanal cheese.

6. Walla Walla Onion Festival: This annual festival in Walla Walla celebrates the sweet onion that the region is famous for. The event features food vendors, cooking demonstrations, and an onion-eating contest.

7. Leavenworth Oktoberfest: This three-weekend event in October features German food and beer in the Bavarian-themed town of Leavenworth.

8. Apple Blossom Festival: This annual festival in Wenatchee celebrates the apple harvest with food vendors and a carnival.

9. Chelan County Fair: This annual fair in Cashmere features a variety of food vendors and competitions, including a pie baking contest.

10. Spokane County Interstate Fair: This annual fair in Spokane features a large food component, with vendors selling everything from traditional fair food to more gourmet options.
