History

Seafair is an annual summer festival in Seattle, Washington that began in 1950. It is one of the largest festivals in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States and typically takes place in late July and early August.

The festival includes a variety of events such as parades, live music and entertainment, food and craft vendors, and athletic competitions. One of the main highlights of Seafair is the hydroplane races, where high-speed boats race on Lake Washington. The Blue Angels, a United States Navy flight demonstration squadron, also perform aerobatic maneuvers above the lake during Seafair.
